This hands-on workshop is a great opportunity for actors of all levels to gain comfort and experience performing Shakespeareantext. Participants will learn to analyze their character’s changing objectives, will use rhythm and meter to convey meaning and emotion, and will finesse their performances through individual coaching. Participants can expect to finish these sessions with greater confidence, growing skills, and an audition-ready Shakespearean monologue.

Chris Jackman is co-owner of the Old Confidence Lodge, and is resident director for both the Lodge and Lunenburg Theatre Collective. Professional credits include work with Musical Stage Co., Camber Arts, LaSalle Theatre, and Open Corps Theatre. He holds a PhD in theatre and performance studies from University of Toronto, with a scholarly focus on the cognition of training, play, and theatre creation.
